Qihoo has invested in a joint venture with China’s largest pharmaceutical firm Sinopharm Group, to develop a medical e-commerce platform that sells medications and drugs. Healthcare has been a major focus for search engines over the past 12 months, and this launch will see Qihoo directly rival Alibaba and JD.com, who have both invested heavily in their own medical platforms.
