Crude oil prices slumped nearly -4% as EIA cut global oil demand for 2015 and 2016. Prices were pressured further as risk appetite again diminished on concerns over global economic slowdown. The front-month contract for WTI crude oil initially fell to as low as 44.05 before settling at 44.15, down -3.90%, whilst the Brent contract slumped -3.92% and ended the day at 47.58.
