Adoption of Pleurectomy and Decortication for Malignant Mesothelioma Leads to Similar Survival as Extrapleural Pneumonectomy

Adoption of a lung-sparing surgical technique (pleurectomy-decortication instead of extrapleural pneumonectomy) in the treatment of malignant pleural mesothelioma leads to better perioperative and similar overall survival outcomes.
