Financial Markets Lifted by China Rate Cut. Focus on FOMC This Week

Financial markets strengthened in Asia Monday as China eases further. Japan's Nikkei 225 index has jumped +1.21% while Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index up +0.5% so far. China's CSI 300 index has also gained +0.91% in morning trading. In the commodity sector, crude oil prices climbed modestly higher on improved risk appetite.
