Market Cautious over Soft Data ahead of US Employment Report

Financial markets were mixed ahead of the US employment report. Wall Street dropped by as much as -1% in the mid-session as dataflow came in generally softer than expected. However, risk appetite in the prior continued to lend support, helping equities recover much of the losses at close. S&P 500 index added +0.2% while DJIA was down -0.08% for the day.
