Commodities were back on the defensive for a second week with China growth worries, a stronger dollar and high inventories of key commodities such as oil and aluminum continuing to drag on the asset class. However, the surprisingly dovish statement from the ECB and a Chinese rate cut announcement gave the sector a boost.
