Euro Fell to Lowest Level in 7 Months as ECB Considers Adding Charge to Deposits

The euro slumped to a 7-month low at one point as Reuters cited an anonymous ECB official's comment that the central bank is considering imposing charges on bank deposits. EURUSD plunged to as low as 1.0565 before ending the day at 1.0626, down -0.13%. Equities were, however, firmer, with Europe's Stoxx 600 jumping +1.38% Turkish President Erdogan indicated he did not want escalation with Russia.
