Precious-Gold inched up on Wednesday on geopolitical tensions after Turkey said it show down a Russian jet, while the retreat in the dollar eased pressure on commodities. Turkey said it downed a Russian warplane that entered its airspace, where President Vladimir Putin said the shooting down of the plane would have “serious consequences.” The incident casted worries the international efforts to fight the Islamic State in Syria could be hindered, enhancing some safety demand on bullion. Gold hit a low of $1080.73 an ounce, while it currently trading at $1075.66, where it opened at $1075.24.
