Fund managers remained strong buyers of metals not least gold and silver during the week ended February 16. The gold net-long position rose for a seventh consecutive week but the price slumped to $1191/oz from $1263. Crude oil longs were reduced despite an announcement of a production cap from Russia and Opec.
