Pound Plunged as Brexit Process to Begin in Less than Half a Year
Renewed selloff was seen in British pound as Prime Minister Theresa May indicated that the Brexit process might begin in the first quarter of 2017. Together with mixed US data, Wall Street ended the day lower with DJIA and S&P 500 indices losing -0.3% and -0.33% respectively. European shares were choppy but major indices settled higher.
