Conclusions: The Pf of Met5A is significantly higher than that of M14K cells. In hypertonic stress in Met5A cells the Pf significantly increases irrespective of the type of the osmotic agent. In MPM cells the type of osmotic agent differentially regulates the Pf. These results indicate a role for Pf in MPM pathobiology. (Source: European Respiratory Journal)
